The senior associate/Scientist I is responsible for developing, optimizing and troubleshooting different unit operations in the manufacturing of LNPs and other non-viral gene delivery methods.
Senior associate III is also responsible for understanding the process parameters on the Drug product physical parameters.
Essential Duties and Respoonsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot particle generation mixing technologies.
- Assess new unit operations and investigate their suitability for the process.
- Optimize and troubleshoot TFF ultra and diafiltration steps.
- Characterize nanoparticles using various techniques and assays.
- Support scientists in experiments design, execution and analysis.
- Support lab activity duties; organization & inventory.
- Interface with clients and data presentations.
- Write Batch Records.

ESSENTIAL
Education/skills/experience
- A minimum BS in chemical engineering, Bioengineering, pharmaceutical sciences, or an MSC in chemical engineering, Bioengineering, or pharmaceutical sciences with 1-3 years.
- Desire and drive to learn about process development and unit operations in non-viral gene therapy, specifically lipid nanoparticles.
- Experience with self-assembly and suspension formulations is an asset.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Language, Mathematical, And/OR Reasoning Ability
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Good organization skills and ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment.
