Expansion systems
We are experienced in expanding adherent and suspension cultures and proficient in adapting to suspension and serum-free techniques. Our cell culture expansion systems and technologies include:
- T-flasks
- Roller bottles
- Multi-layered vessels (e.g., T-flasks, CellStacks and HYPERStack®)
- Shake flask formats up to 5 L unit size
- Large-scale bioreactor (up to 50 L for purified virus banks)
We have experience in harvesting viruses from supernatants, cells or a combination of both. Lysis options include repeated freeze/thaw, hypotonic lysis and mechanical.

Cell lines held to GMP standards

Utilising high-quality raw materials, our GMP cell banks are designed to serve as optimal starting materials, mitigating risks and enhancing the efficiency of your virus seed and drug substance production.
Virus rescue and seed bank establishment
Our virus banking service can generate and recover infectious viruses from plasmid-based systems — a process known as virus rescue by transfection. This process can be performed under controlled development or GMP conditions, based on client preferences.
Virus rescue is followed by repeated virus plaque cloning and final pre-master virus seed generation and characterisation.
Genetic characterisation and seed assessment are major aspects of our service, allowing for analysis of preliminary titer, genomic integrity, transgene expression, sterility and more.
