About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join our team as a key contributor, reporting directly to the Head of Business Development - Europe.
In this pivotal role, you'll be responsible for the full lifecycle of new business in the Nordics and Baltics region, from identifying and negotiating opportunities to closing major development and commercial deals across our global technology portfolio, while also providing essential customer relationship management for existing programs. This is a chance to play a crucial part in building Recipharm’s brand and achieving ambitious objectives for new business generation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales plans to identify, qualify, pursue and close new development and commercial opportunities within your assigned geographic region (current customers and/or prospects) to achieve revenue and new business objectives.
- Present Recipharm’s broader capabilities knowledgeably and effectively with customers, in order to generate cross-sell opportunities and craft value-added solutions for customers across technologies.
- Support and prepare development and commercial proposals working closely with key internal stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts and negotiate these proposals.
- Provide input into pricing strategy with assigned customers.
- Provide business and relationship management support to existing development and commercial programs.
- Ensure compliance with reporting processes and tools, and maintain open communication throughout the organization, especially in regards to cross-site and cross-business unit customer efforts.
- Comply with cGMP requirements and company rules, policies and procedures.
Skills and Experience
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in science, business administration or other related field.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in B2B sales, Business Development or Project Management
- Sales/business development experience in the contract pharmaceutical industry preferred.
- Strong fundamental business skills; ability to appropriately evaluate and structure value creating deals for the business with a good ability to negotiate those deals.
- Relevant industry knowledge of drug product development and manufacturing.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to listen and communicate effectively with customers and internal team members and management.
- Proven ability to organize and plan work and balance multiple priorities effectively meet deadlines.
Desirable:
- Advanced scientific degree and/or Masters of business administration / commercially orientated degree
