MARBIO receives new grant funding

Following the visit of Dr. Giancarlo Francese, Senior Program Officer from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (the foundation), to our site in Morocco, MARBIO is delighted to announce new grant funding from the foundation. MARBIO, with support from the foundation, aims to develop a new self-injectable contraceptive formulation, for women and girls in low- and middle-income countries. The goal is to expand and facilitate access to modern contraceptive options, thereby improving women's reproductive health, reducing poverty, and promoting gender equality, positively transforming the lives of millions of women and girls across Africa and other Low Middle Income Countries (LMICs).

Funding from the foundation greatly benefits MARBIO by facilitating skill transfer and capacity building at our plant. " MARBIO is honoured to have support from the foundation to develop and nurture top-tier manufacturing and technical expertise on a project that aligns directly with our roadmap," said Marc Funk, CEO of Marbio.
